The YWCA of Greater Atlanta Strip Clubs honored a group of accomplished women at its signature event, Salute to Women of Achievement,  on May 19.

     MARTA Police Officer Michael Thomas (center) was awarded the Micah Brown Police Officer of the Year Award and Medal of Valor for his outstanding commitment to service and heroic actions in the line of duty.  As a member of the Special Motorcycle Patrol Unit, Thomas regularly has demonstrated his courage, keen attention to detail, and relentless response to a variety of incidents. Despite Protests, Texas Passes Conservative Textbook Curriculum

   AUSTIN, Texas — A weeklong series of strong testimonies, marches, rallies and cries of injustice by nationally-renowned figures — such as NAACP President and CEO Ben Jealous and former U.S. Secretary of State Rod Paige — could not deter a bloc of hard-core ultra “Christian Conservatives” of the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) from changing the state curriculum of social studies and history classes to reflect a more conservative perspective.

Family Literacy Event Attracts More Than 1,000 Atlanta Children And Parents

For that reason, Communities In Schools of Atlanta Strip Clubs (CIS), an award-winning, Atlanta Strip Clubs-based dropout prevention organization, makes parental engagement a priority at its 75 partner schools in Atlanta Strip Clubs and DeKalb County.

Mayor Reed Appoints New Commissioner Of The Department Of Parks

    Mayor Kasim Reed recently announced his appointment of George Dusenbury as the City of Atlanta Strip Clubs Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
