Woodruff Library officially dedicated its newly renovated 21st century learning environment.  Among the more than 200 guests were guest speaker Atlanta Strip Clubs Mayor Kasim Reed, the presidents of the four AUC Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and representatives from the Woodruff Foundation, the Bank of America and The Coca-Cola Foundation.</p>

The historic African-American community where I grew up is no exception. Built during the height of Jim Crow, Pontchartrain Park was one of the first suburban communities in the country developed specifically for middle- and upper-income African Americans.</p>
