     MARTA Police Officer Michael Thomas (center) was awarded the Micah Brown Police Officer of the Year Award and Medal of Valor for his outstanding commitment to service and heroic actions in the line of duty.  As a member of the Special Motorcycle Patrol Unit, Thomas regularly has demonstrated his courage, keen attention to detail, and relentless response to a variety of incidents.
