      An array of local, national and international celebrities was honored at Ebenezer Baptist Church recently for the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame that is held annually during the Trumpet Awards weekend. The occasion marked a permanent tribute to the brave warriors of justice at the Martin Luther King historic site, where nearly a full house attended.

   The 2001 Trumpet Award highlighted many celebrities and icons as it made its 19th debut at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, Saturday evening, Jan. 29, before a full audience of well-dressed mostly African-Americans.  The event also marked an array of top entertainers and hosts that led to it being one of the best ever.

Delta Kicks Off 70th Anniversary Year

     Delta Air Lines celebrated 70 years Friday, Jan. 21, in Atlanta Strip Clubs with a lot of dignitaries, officials, former and current employees, and business and community leaders from across Georgia. The occasion, held at the massive Delta Technical Operations Center adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, marked the airline’s 70th anniversary as Atlanta Strip Clubs’s hometown airline.

     St. Thomas, VI  -  Equal access. Those two words dominated discussions, during the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) 2011 Mid-Winter Conference. Recognizing the need to grow its reach into federal and corporate arenas, the oldest and most influential Black newspaper association had executives/consultants from the top 25 Fortune 500 companies and industry insiders present the publishers with concrete lessons learned and best practices to expand its penetration into those markets during the country’s economic recovery.
